Chapter 4

Buffy was almost over and just like the show starts in one place and ends in another, so had Andrea.

At the beginning of the show Andrea was a beautiful 19 year old girl with a slight problem. Well it really wasn’t a slight problem was it? The girl was downright rude and disrespectful. But now she was at the end of the show and Buffy had saved the day and solved her problem; Andrea on the other hand didn’t even realize that she had one. The fresh faced newly 16 year old girl sat at her desk giggling to herself with thoughts that tomorrow she had to go to school and that boy, Jason Mark, was going to ask her out to spring fling! Buffy was over and Andrea started to roam the channels again, stopping at a channel that normally she wouldn’t be caught dead on. Disney channel may be popular for girls that were only 12 years old but she is 16 and there was no way this was interesting at all, right? If that was so why couldn’t she force herself to change the channel? Hannah Montana had just started. Andrea who two minutes ago was sitting at her desk giggling was now lying on her stomach with her head in her hands watching with great interest a show that was popular for the tween crowd.

As Hannah sang her song, ’The other side of me’ once again the room was engulfed in a glow from the tv. Only this time it was even brighter. What once was a room belonging to a 16 year old girl on the verge of getting her drivers license, was now transforming into a whole different place. Her posters changed to the cast of high school musical, the bedsheets were Hannah and she had a bulletin board appear on the back of her door with bunches of pictures of friends and notes from them as well. A frilly pink rug appeared on the floor and the curtains even changed white with a flower pattern!

Andrea who was still not phased by the any of the changes taking place, lay on her bed happily watching Hannah. But before the changes could take hold on her she fell asleep on her bed.

Not too long after she had fallen asleep, Nancy gently knocked on the bedroom door, not hearing anything she entered. Even though she knew what had been happening, it was still a shock to her to see what had actually taken place. After looking over Andrea’s new room, Nancy walked over to her sleeping daughter and tucked her into her bed. She kissed her on the forehead and walked out of the room thinking that maybe just maybe she would finally get the daughter she had always hoped for.

The problem with this scenario is that Andrea fell asleep before the tv’s magical glow could change her to match the tv shows ’age.’ Could this be a problem come tomorrow? The next chapters being written as we speak!!
