The issue

Chapter Description: What to do with a disrespectful teenage daughter

Per usual Andrea was up late watching some late night MTV show. Her mother tapped on the door around 1030pm and told her to go to bed since tomorrow is Monday and she has to go to work. Andrea got up and turned out the lights long enough to convince her mom that she had listened. But no sooner did she her parents bedroom door shut, she had the tv back on and was enjoying her usual late night programs. She felt that since she was 19 that she shouldn’t have to do anything her mother said, she was an adult after all!

The next morning Nancy, Andrea’s mom, knocked on her door and told her to hurry because she was late again for work! Andrea stumbled out of bed and threw on her work clothes, brushed her hair and teeth and rushed downstairs, running late per usual. Her mom yelled at her and told her that this had to stop. I know you turned the tv back on last night again after I told you to go to sleep. If you feel that you are old enough to do whatever you want then maybe it is time to move out. Andrea scoffed at this and told her mom that she would never do that to her because she was her only child. Nancy, said maybe not but there are other alternatives I can consider. With this Andrea left for the day and Nancy started to think about what to do with the situation. Of course she found a solution... It would work out in the best interest of everyone involved.
