A story inspired by Darkness Falls. I've twisted and modified it to make it my own.
Chapter Description: Peter never learns...
Peter lay on his bed, happy because he had just turned ten. He was no longer a baby! He was in the double digits!
The legend of Greta Smith flashed through his mind briefly, but he dismissed it as a stupid ghost story. Peter stared at the ceiling. “Please, who could believe in a silly ghost?” he said to himself. He heard a shuffling noise. He sat up and looked over to his favorite chair. There was figure of woman sitting there.
“Is anyone there?” Peter asked, suddenly wondering if the legend was actually true.
The figure stood up and walked over. Moonlight fell on her face. It had the appearance of Jessica, his big sister. Peter sighed and was irritated. “Jessica, don’t scare me like that.”
“I am not Jessica,” the woman said plainly. “I am Greta Smith. Who are you?”
Peter smirked. “Come on Jessica, I’m not five. You know who I am.”
The woman cocked her head. “I will give you another chance. Who are you?”
Peter was getting annoyed. “Jessica, just leave me alone!”
The woman looked at him with dark eyes. She then turned around and made a large scratch mark on the wall. Peter panicked.
“Don’t do that! Dad will get mad at me!” Peter whined. The woman turned back.
“What do you say?”
Peter made a face and shook his head. “I say stop it! Now!”
The woman shook her head and made a second mark on the wall. Peter was more agitated than ever. “Just leave Jessica! This isn’t funny anymore!”
The woman looked back again. “Fine, I’m leaving.”
Peter nodded. “Good! And don’t come back!”
The woman was in the process of going through the door when he said this. She stopped. She looked back to the wall where she left the two scratch marks. Peter’s mouth dropped open as another mark appeared beside the two.
The woman swept towards him. Peter withdrew in his sheets. She got close to his face and whispered, “You fail.”
With that, the woman breathed deeply. Peter’s eyes grew wide as a shimmering gas seemed to come from his open mouth. Peter closed his mouth, but the gas kept coming out from his nostrils. He felt himself getting weaker, and the woman seemed to be getting bigger. The gas went from Peter into the woman.
Peter felt his pajamas becoming baggy. His feet withdrew into the pant legs and his arms shortened. He could not move. Soon, he found that he couldn’t form words. It came out as a mixture of sounds. After about thirty seconds, the woman pulled away. Peter felt engulfed by his gigantic pajamas and blankets. He began to panic, which came out as a pathetic whine. The woman picked him up and set him naked on his bed. Peter felt so exposed and vulnerable.
“You must learn Peter....” The woman whispered before disappearing. Peter was left alone. He had lost his book learning, but he still felt the irony of the situation. It took ten years for him to escape babyhood, and now he’s back in it in less than thirty seconds.
Peter, feeling that nothing could be done, curled up into the fetal position. He looked at his small penis, thinking about how it was so close to becoming a big boy one less than two minutes ago. Peter sobbed softly and fell asleep, knowing that next time Greta Smith came around, he would be a polite little boy.
