Jamie Thompson, Wheat Farmer  

I, Jamie Thompson worked on my family’s farm north of Wichita, KS, from the first day I could understand and follow my parents’ instructions.  I married and had three kids, still on the farm. After thirty-eight years of this life, ARV reduced me to a seven-year-old child again in 2064.  With my parents still able to work and a couple of siblings still wanting to farm, the family came together to maintain the farm in the coming years.  My two sisters had married and moved away years before.

Today, twenty years later, I; my older brother, Lloyd; and younger brother, Lew, are still working together.  The family home, like many farm homes, expanded over the years to hold more family. It now contains our Mother, Evelyn; my wife, Mary, and me; along with our son, Tim, his wife, Anne, and three children, Ellen, Tony and Joseph.  Our oldest, Kevin, is making a career in the Air Force and our daughter, Josie, lives in California.
