Chapter 5
Chapter Five - Conclusion

Chapter Description: By Morpher

Chapter Five

“Here we are, children! The Magic Kingdom once again!”

Bernie and Sophie can only gasp as they look upon the majestic place before them, the large train station at the front of the theme park already capturing their attention. Both children know that they’ve been here before, but it’s so difficult to recall anything from their last visit. It must have been when they were really little, Sophie justifies to herself, although that doesn’t sound quite right to her.

“Nanny, when can we go in?”

“In a few moments, Sophie.” For the first time the group has arrived at a park for rope drop, the sound of hundreds of other families around them making it a little difficult to hear one another. Still, it only adds to the excitement the twins feel, the two very much wanting to see some of the amazing things that the Magic Kingdom has in store for them.

“Ooh, it looks like it’s starting!” Music starts to play as Bernie and Sophie turn their attention back to the train station. The happy song makes both of them smile as they watch several citizens of Main Street U.S.A. come out to greet everyone. They start to sing and dance as Sophie smiles, the little girl watching with nothing but joy in her eyes.

And then a train pulls up to the station, a number of Disney characters jumping out as they start to wave to the masses before them.

“Look Sophie! There’s Alice! And Mary Poppins, too!” Viola eagerly points out the characters as Sophie gasps, the young girl realizing how lucky she is to see them two days in a row now. She waves right back at the two as they are greeted, Sophie wondering if she’ll be able to meet them again.

“There’s Cinderella’s fairy godmother!”

“Hi Pluto!” Bernie waves excitedly, the little boy giggling happily as he sees one of the characters he really likes. Sophie is happy for him, even if she’s a bit upset that none of the princesses are present at this time. Still, they’re probably doing important princess things, she imagines with a grin. After all, they need to look super pretty like they always do!

After about a minute of waving, the characters start to depart. An announcement rings out that the Magic Kingdom is now open, and that’s when the chaos begins as hundreds of families surge forward.

“Come on you two, let’s get moving! We don’t want to get trampled!” Holding Sophie’s hand who in turn holds her brother’s, Viola leads the three into the park, the two small children gazing in awe at Main Street U.S.A.. Sure, it isn’t the most magical part of the park, but it’s so big and impressive that they can’t help but stare.

Sophie does, however, notice that most people seem to be ignoring this area as they rush down the long street. “Nanny, where’s everyone going?” She asks with a little frown. It’s like the answer is inside of her head, but she just can’t reach it.

“One of two places, I suppose. There’s the new Seven Dwarves Mine Train that is getting all sorts of rave reviews, and then there’s meeting Elsa and Anna.”

“W-We should go do that too!” Worry begins to show in Sophie’s eyes. If so many other people want to meet the princesses of Frozen, will she get a chance to? “C-Can we please go too, nanny?”

“No need to worry, Sophie. You’ll get to meet them by the end of the day, I promise. But for now, why don’t we go meet with some of the characters around here? You like Tinkerbell, right?”

A smile instantly forms on Sophie’s face as she nods. “Uh huh!”

“Excellent! And Bernie, I don’t want to hear any fussing today. Especially since we’re going to be seeing Pooh quite a bit!” Viola says, a sweet smile on her face as she kneels down to be at level with the boy.

“Okay.” Bernie follows after his twin and nanny as the three step into the Town Hall. It doesn’t take him long to realize that there are actually two lines in here: one for Tinkerbell, and one for someone else. He looks over at a sign near the second line as his mind puts together who it is for.

“Nanny, I wanna meet Mickey!”

Viola can’t help but giggle a little as she follows behind Sophie into Tinkerbell’s line. “But Bernie, you just say him yesterday, remember?”

The boy frowns, knowing that Mickey had been both at Epcot and his own restaurant, Chef Mickey’s. Why was he here now? Didn’t he need to be in both of those places? His frown deepens as he wonders if Mickey goes between the places, but right now, none of that matters to him.

“But…I still wanna see him!” Bernie says, stomping a foot as he pouts. However, all it takes is a stern look from his nanny for the boy to realize he isn’t acting properly. With a small sigh, he follows Sophie and Viola into line.

“Perhaps later, Bernie. But you’ve already crossed Mickey off your list, so I don’t see the point. Remember, your parents have a special surprise for the both of you once you see everyone on your lists!” Viola reminds the two in a sing-song voice. And given that both Bernie and Sophie can’t recall what is to happen when they finish off their lists, they figure their nanny is right.

“Umm, nanny? Who else do we have to see?” Sophie asks, the little girl wearing a pink sundress gently biting down on her lip after asking the question. Try as she might, she just can’t remember who she is missing. Hasn’t she met with all of the princesses? No, there are still a few left, she knows.

“You’re almost all set, Sophie! Technically Anna and Elsa aren’t in the Disney Princess line, so all you need to do is visit with Rapunzel and that will be all! As for you Bernie, you just need to meet with Eeyore and Piglet. After that you’ll be good too!”

“Okay!” Bernie says, the very idea of seeing the donkey and pig making him very happy.

Sophie can’t help but frown as she learns that she doesn’t need to visit with Anna and Elsa. She really, really wants to see the two, the girl having loved them in Frozen. She can hardly remember Tangled, although she knows that Rapunzel is another fun princess that she really wants to meet too.

After several minutes of standing in line in the main hall, the group moves into the enchanted glade of Tinkerbell, Viola rather impressed with the theming of the area. “What a nice place this is!”

“It’s magical!” Sophie reports with a gap-toothed smile.

“It sure is, Sophie! Alright, I think it’s your turn!”

“Okay!” Sophie rushes over to the young woman in green as she gives her a nice hug. “Hi Tinkerbell!”

“Why hello there!” The fast-talking fairy smiles as she returns the hug. “So what’s your name?”

Sophie has to stop herself from giggling, the girl not having imagined that Tinkerbell would talk so quickly. She knows that she’s been in a lot of new movies of late, and it pains Sophie to know she hasn’t got to see them. Not yet anyway. “I’m Sophie.”

“Well aren’t you a cute little thing, Sophie! How do you like my new home? I’m still getting used to it I have to say, but I think it’s nice at the very least. What do you think?”

“I like it a lot!” Sophie gladly reports. “Lots of cool trees and things all around!”

“Glad to hear it. I could probably decorate it a little better, but I suppose that can wait until later.” Tinkerbell smiles with Sophie as they get their picture taken together, Sophie giving the fairy one last hug before she leaves with her nanny and twin, the group stepping right into a heavily princess themed store.

It doesn’t have a good effect on Sophie, the six year old pleading with her nanny to buy her all sorts of dresses and dolls.

“But Sophie, we just bought you a lot of them, remember?” Sophie frowns, her mind all fuzzy of late. While the previous day is at least a little clear to her, everything else that has happened recently is a blur.

“But the ones in my closet are too big,” she whines, the girl pouting much like her brother.

“Maybe later, Sophie. Come now, I have a schedule to keep today.” She tugs on the girl’s arm, Sophie sniffling as she is pulled out of the store. Bernie, meanwhile, couldn’t be happier to get away from the cootie-filled place.

“Now, let’s head down Main Street towards Fantasyland! There we can find all the characters we need to meet today!” Viola puts on a bright smile as she leads Sophie and Bernie down the street, Sophie still sobbing as Bernie looks around in awe at what a grand place this is.

But something about that doesn’t seem right to him. He knows deep down that he shouldn’t be as impressed as he is, that there’s something wrong about all of this. His eyes briefly fall upon the Magic Band tightly fastened around his wrist, the young boy knowing that the little band that he’s worn since entering Disney World is doing something it isn’t supposed to do.

And that’s when a few memories of the past few days start to awaken within him, memories of being older. He lets out an audible gasp as both his twin and Viola turn to look at him.

“Is something wrong, Bernie?”

“Yeah, this is all wrong!” He says, the boy’s face turning red as they approach the end of the street, Cinderella’s Castle still a ways away. “Sophie and I aren’t supposed to be little kids! We’re supposed to be older!”

For whatever reason, Bernie’s words confuse Sophie, the girl not sure what exactly to think of them. Isn’t there truth to them? She’s having a hard time remembering.

“Mommy, that was so much fun!” Sophie turns her head as she sees a familiar face: Emily. The little redhead giggles, wearing an Ariel dress as she walks alongside her parents toward Tomorrowland. Sophie starts to remember playing with the girl, remembers watching that wonderful Sofia the First show with her.

But Emily looks so much older than her now, and Sophie knows that they had been around the same age when they had played together. And then it all clicks.

“Y-Yeah! We’re supposed to be older!” Sophie remembers, several of her own memories no longer lost to her as she frowns. She can’t remember how old she should be, but she should be at least around Emily’s age, right?

Viola looks around before moving closer to the two. “I’m glad you both remember, but don’t be so vocal about it. It could cause us problems. Quickly, let’s go somewhere more private to chat about this.” Viola motions the two to follow her into a nearby building, Sophie and Bernie both sharing a look before they run after their nanny.

It’s only when they step inside that the twins realize this might be a trap.

“Bernie-” Sophie shutters as she sees the look of pure childish delight on her brother’s face, the Crystal Palace Restaurant home to a very special breakfast experience.

Viola smiles as she approaches the two, the blonde pointing over to a few figures. “Look Bernie! There’s Pooh! And all of his friends are here too! You can finish off that list of yours now! Isn’t that wonderful?”

“Uh huh!” Bernie giggles happily as Viola pats him on the head, the nanny now walking over to speak with some of the cast members as they are led over to their table. Sophie realizes that the restaurant is mainly filled up, and as she follows her nanny in she sees a few families turned away. She quickly puts two and two together: Viola had a reservation here. And that meant this was all part of her plan.

Sophie starts to tear up, the girl feeling like a fool for having trusted her nanny. More and more of her memories resurface as she feels such negative emotions, the girl remembering more of her conversation with Viola from their second day at Disney. Wasn’t she supposed to be helping them?

She can only watch, helpless as Bernie interacts with the various characters that the restaurant has to offer. Even as he fills his tummy with lots of yummy food, he smiles at Pooh, receiving a nice warm hug from the bear. Sophie hesitates when it’s her turn, although as she focuses on the sense of hurt within her she allows for Pooh to embrace her. To her relief, the hug doesn’t seem to have any effect on her, at least not much of one.

She wishes she could say the same for Bernie, though. The boy’s age looks to have halved throughout the meal, the three year old giggling excitably as he receives a nice warm hug from Piglet towards the meal’s end. “Love wu Pigwet!” He lisps, his clothes now too big for him once more. Yet oddly enough, no one but Sophie seems to notice this. Or maybe, she realizes with a start, she’s the only one who cares.

“Well done Bernie! You’ve seen everyone on your list! Now you’ll get the nice surprise that your mommy and daddy have for you!” Bernie laughs happily at the news, the boy getting a nice hug from his nanny as Viola holds him.

“Sophie, did you eat enough?” Viola turns to look at the girl, only for her smile to fall as she sees the girl’s mostly full plate. “Sophie, you really should eat before we go.”

“Not hungry.” She says with a frown, the six year old with long brown hair giving her best glare to the nanny.

“What’s gotten into you?”

“You tricked us! You made Bernie even littler!” She says, tears starting to fill her eyes. Yet before she can throw more of a fit, Viola gently grasps her arm and starts to whisper.

“I need to make this as convincing as I can. As long as you remember, Sophie, it’ll be okay. Just hang in there, alright?”

“O-Okay.” She says quietly, the girl still looking like she might cry as Viola leads her and her brother into the bathroom. After all, Bernie isn’t presentable at this point.

“I’ll only be a moment with your brother, Sophie!” Viola smiles as she starts to search within her large tote bag. It isn’t long before Bernie is clothed once again, although Sophie is horrified to see what her brother is wearing: a cute little Winnie the Pooh costume, the boy giggling in pure delight as he snuggles against parts of the fuzzy outfit.

“Isn’t he precious?” Viola asks Sophie. The boy’s sister can only watch in horror as her brother laughs, not a speck of intelligence in his eyes anymore.

“I-Is he wearing a diaper?” Sophie whispers, seeing the bulge in the costume’s back.

“I’m afraid so, Sophie. Your parents told me that the two of you didn’t have the best bladder control for a few years, so I’m just playing it safe. Now, shall we go?” Sophie doesn’t know what to say or do at this point. So she just reluctantly nods and follows her nanny back outside.

“That’s where Rapunzel is, Sophie! Shall we head inside?”

Sophie bites down on her lip as she stands outside Princess Fairytale Hall with her nanny, Bernie giggling contently as the three year old sits in a recently purchased stroller. One with two seats, Sophie realizes with a gulp.

“Umm…c-can we maybe do something else first?” Sophie knows that while the line for Anna and Elsa is truly absurd, the one to meet Rapunzel won’t take too long. But she doesn’t know if she wants to finish her list anymore, not after seeing what Bernie is presently like.

“Are you sure? Well alright. I suppose we can go celebrate Bernie’s accomplishment!” Without a second glance back, Viola starts to push Bernie’s stroller deeper into Fantasyland, Sophie walking behind them as she looks around nervously.

And then she sees what Viola has planned.

“Look Bernie, your favorite ride! And at the end of it we can meet with Pooh and Tigger again if you want! Doesn’t that sound nice?”

“Pooh and Tiggie!” Bernie cries out, the girl clapping his hands together happily as he smiles. The thought that it doesn’t make sense for Pooh and Tigger to be here when they were also at The Crystal Palace doesn’t even cross his mind, memories leaking out of his ears by the dozens now as they move through the ride queue. He seems to shrink down a little, Sophie truly hoping that Viola is right about them being able to return to normal so long as she remembers.

Although the princesses aren’t involved here, Sophie knows it is very dangerous to look at all of the Pooh characters. It’s a miracle that she was barely effected by meeting with Pooh and his friends, but she tosses that up to how upset she was at the time. For this ride she knows she can’t let herself hear or see them, so once she’s sure that Viola isn’t paying much attention to her, she closes her eyes and covers her ears.

Although his twin doesn’t hear it, Bernie’s giggles get louder and higher as the ride progresses, the little boy enjoying himself immensely as his nanny holds him in her arms. The memories pour out as he regresses down to ten months old, a happy little brown-haired baby cooing happily as the ride comes to an end.

As Sophie opens her eyes, she lets out a cry as she sees the drooling infant that her twin has become.

“Bernie!”

“Don’t make a fuss, Sophie. Unless you want them to act.” Viola speaks in a deathly serious tone that commands all of Sophie’s attention, the girl giving the meekest of nods as she studies her brother. He seems oblivious to his situation as he tries to shove his foot in his mouth, although Viola is there to stop him.

“Nuh uh! No Bernie! The son of the famous Arast family shouldn’t be doing such silly things!” She teases, causing the boy to giggle. Something about the sing-song quality of her voice is incredibly entertaining to him.

Viola holds the boy in her arms, patting him on the back as Sophie watches in horror. Is he going to forgot everything? Is there some way she can jog his memory before he does? Even if it means getting in trouble, she has to try. This is her last chance.

“Bernie, we’re supposed to be twins! So you can’t be so much younger than me! Y-You have to remember!”

Even though most of the things his sister says go right over Bernie’s head, the idea of being a twin does stick. He frowns, the little baby trying to piece together why his twin is so much older than him.

But all of that stops as Viola starts to rub his tummy, a growing pressure in his bowels making Bernie uncomfortable. He had eaten quite a bit of food at breakfast, and now his little body is ready to release it. He wants to make it all go away, and sure enough he does as he pushes out a big, smelly poop. As he makes a soft grunting noise, all thoughts of ever being a bigger kid leave him as he starts to giggle.

“Awww, did Pooh make a poo poo? Yes he did, yes he did!” Viola teases, Bernie giggling happily as his butt presses against the mushy load in his diaper. Viola’s smile just makes Bernie feel so happy, the boy babbling wildly as his twin looks on in horror.

“Alright Sophie, you run off and play while I take care of your little brother!” Viola holds a cooing Bernie in her arm as she sits in the large, interactive Dumbo queue, Sophie giving a little nod as she heads over to a small climbing structure.

There’s not a spark of her twin left in those glassy eyes anymore. Not a single hint that her snarky brother ever existed. No, there’s only a cooing, diaper-messing baby there now. And despite Viola’s words, Sophie really has to wonder if there’s any way to restore him back to normal.

Viola can’t be trusted. Even now with Bernie a drooling infant, she doesn’t seem at all concerned about restoring Sophie and Bernie to normal. She’s been tricking them all along, Sophie realizes, the girl fighting back tears as she tries to remain calm. It’s so difficult now in the small body, but she can’t just give up now. Getting emotional is the last thing she needs to do right now.

She needs to get help, but from where? According to Viola, there are a lot of people working for their parents around here, people who probably want Sophie to be a baby too. She knows that Viola told her that her mommy and daddy only want Bernie as a baby, but she wonders if it was a fib. Her frown only deepens as she realizes that even in thinking about her parents, “mommy” and “daddy” are the only names to arise.

She’s gotten so young, and if she continues to follow Viola around, it’ll only get worse. Even if there’s only a chance at escape, of alerting the proper authorities to what has happened to her and Bernie, she has to take it. And that means sneaking away from her nanny right now.

She looks over to where Viola sits, the nanny’s eyes focused solely on her twin. A pained look crosses Sophie’s eyes as she gazes at Bernie. She doesn’t want to abandon him, but right now she has no choice.

“I’ll come back for you, Bernie…” She says quietly, her voice trembling as she threatens to tear up. She can’t let it end, not like this. And as a swarm of children race through the queue, she finally makes her move.

Sophie fights back tears as she runs through the streets of Fantasyland, a few adults looking over at her in alarm. She needs to go, needs to find someone who can help her. If only she knew who that was.

“Are you alright, little girl?” A cast member working near Princess Fairytale Hall approaches her, Sophie shaking her head wildly as she sniffles. “Did you get separated from your mommy and daddy?”

“Nuh uh…” Sophie says, the girl doing her best to collect herself. There’s no way that people will believe her, not unless she calms down.

“There you are, Sophie! I was looking all over for you!” A familiar voice catches Sophie’s attention, but it isn’t the one she expected to hear.

“Are you her sister?” The cast member asks, relief showing on his face.

“That’s right. Sophie, don’t get separated next time, okay?” The teenage girl with shoulder-length brown hair and a pair of sunglasses resting atop her forehead smiles as she takes Sophie by the hand and leads her away.

“A-Arianna? Wh-What are you doing here?” Sophie doesn’t know what else to say as she looks upon the girl she knows deep down should be her younger sister, not her older one. Of course, given their current states, there’s no debate who the older one is at the moment. “H-How did you know it was me?”

Arianna looks around before letting out a sigh of relief, the two currently alone for the most part. “I heard about what mom and dad wanted to do to you and Bernie. I can’t believe this is all really happening, Sophie.” She says, pulling her sister into a warm hug.

Sophie finds the embrace soothing as she hugs back, the girl still trembling as she sniffles. “B-Bernie’s just a baby now…I don’t think he remembers.”

“Really? Shit.”

“Arianna! That’s a naughty word!” Sophie gasps, the girl finding it hard to believe that her sister would say such a thing.

“Wow, they really pulled a number on you too, Sophie. Can’t believe you’re surprised to hear a swear, especially given some of your diatribes and rants in the past.”

Sophie screws up her face, trying to remember what some of those more complex words mean. “How did you know it was me?” She asks again.

“Earth to Sophie, we have a lot of old pictures around the house. When I figured out what our parents wanted, I made sure to study a lot of them so that I could find you. It’s really a miracle that I managed to.”

“H-How did you get down here?”

Arianna grins as she pulls out her wallet. “You and Bernie might be cut off for now, but I’m still allowed to use dad’s credit card for whatever I want. Wasn’t too hard to get a flight down here, especially when you throw our last name around.” It’s only now that Sophie remembers the fact that money had been involved in all of this. “Now come on, we need to get you back to normal.”

“I don’t know how. Nanny…” Try as she might, Sophie can’t remember her nanny’s actual name. “…she said that if we saw everyone on our lists, we’d be able to get back to normal. But Bernie is still a baby. He even pooped his diaper!”

“Geez, that’s just wrong.” Arianna shakes her head, the thirteen year old looking around to make sure there aren’t any eavesdroppers. “Well from what I gathered, the both of you both need to meet everyone on your lists, so unless you finish yours there’s no hope. How do we finish it?”

“I need to see Rapunzel.” She says, even if part of her also really wants to meet Anna and Elsa.

“Well that’s good. There’s a short line over there. Come on, let’s go.”

“B-But when Bernie finished his list he became a baby!”

“Don’t worry, I’m here to help remind you of how you should be, Sophie. Besides, you’ve always been smarter than Bernie. You’ll pull through.” Arianna pats her sister on the back as Sophie nods, the younger girl following her now-older sister over to the hall.

It’s hard to concentrate once inside, the beautiful interior filled with portraits of princesses and all sorts of other items associated with the beautiful women. Part of Sophie wants to lose herself in all of it, but to her relief closing her eyes throughout most of the queue helps drown it all out.

“Remember Sophie, be quick. You don’t want to get younger here.” Arianna reminds the girl, Sophie nodding as she finally goes over to Rapunzel and hugs her.

“Hello little one! What’s your name!”

“S-Sophie.” The girl smiles, finding Rapunzel so very pretty as she gazes upon the blonde. Part of her knows she shouldn’t, but as fairy dust descends upon her mind she can’t help but gaze in awe upon the woman.

“She’s a little shy.” Arianna walks over to Rapunzel as well, Sophie snapping back to normal as her sister talks with the princess. No longer alone to fall under the princess’ spell, Sophie is able to act more like herself. She answers as many of Rapunzel’s questions about herself as she can, and after a picture she and Arianna take their leave.

“That should be all of them, right?”

“Uh huh…thanks, Arianna. For helping me.”

“What are sisters for?” Arianna smiles as she holds onto the girl’s smaller hand. “Speaking of sisters, want to try seeing Anna and Elsa?”

“Can we?” Frozen is very fresh in Sophie’s mind, the girl’s eyes lighting up at the thought of seeing them. Part of her knows it isn’t a good idea, that she’s already finished her list and doesn’t need to meet with anymore princesses, but that part is drowned out by the giddy giggling that starts to echo throughout her mind.

“I don’t see why not.” Arianna says, the teenager leads her sister over to an area next to the four-hour-long line. “Sophie, we’re from a very special family, so we get certain privileges here. Try moving your Magic Bang next to that sensor.” Arianna demonstrates, the Mickey-shaped light turning green as she does so. “See, that means I can go ahead. Now you try.”

Sophie nods as she does the same, a smile forming on her lips as the light turns green for her as well. “Excellent! Alright, let’s go see them!”

“Okay!” Sophie smiles as she follows her sister, the thought of meeting the two princesses incredibly exciting to her.

“My, what do we have here?” Princess Anna is her usual giddy self as Arianna and Sophie approach, Elsa seeming much more composed as she offers a kind smile.

“I’m Arianna, and this is my little sister, Sophie!”

“Why hello Sophie! I’m a younger sister too!” Anna says with a smile, Sophie giggling happily as she nods.

“Uh huh! I know that! I saw your movie!”

“How did you like it?” Elsa asks, the white-haired beauty offering the girl a gentle smile.

“I loved it! It was so amazing and pretty! And I really loved you two!”

“Aww, how sweet!” Anna pulls Sophie into a nice warm hug, the girl giggling as she hugs back. Arianna smiles as well, the girl quite a big fan of Frozen herself.

For the next few minutes Arianna and Sophie both gush about the movie, Anna and Elsa playing their parts perfectly as they answer any questions the girls have. Sophie hopes this will never end, but surely enough Arianna begins to say her good byes to the two as she leads her sister out.

“Maybe that wasn’t the best idea. You seem to have gotten younger.”

Sophie frowns as she looks down at herself, her dress now too big for her. “What should we do?”

“Don’t worry, I have a great idea.” Arianna smiles as she leads her little sister toward Cinderella’s Castle of all places, a look of confusion crossing the girl’s face as they approach the structure. What could help them there?

“Reservation for Sophie.” Ariana says as she approaches an archway leading into a room, Sophie unable to say anything as she gazes upon the pink room within. A room so very, very similar to the one that had enchanted her back at the World of Disney store. And just as it had there, it captivates her mind once again.

Within moments, she’s sitting in one of the chairs as an older woman introduces herself as a fairy-godmother-in-training. “I’m going to help you become a little princess, Sophie!”

The idea of it is too much for the little girl to resist as she nods happily, bringing a smile to the woman’s face. “Now, which princess would you like to become like? Hmm, with a name like yours, I’m thinking-”

“S-Sofia the Fiwst!” Sophie giggles happily as she nods her head several times, the brunette oblivious to her little but growing infantile lisp.

“Sounds great!” For the next half hour, Sophie is in pure princess bliss as her fairy godmother does her hair, picks out a dress for her, and makes her feel like a pampered little princess. And Sophie loves every moment of it, the girl not even realizing she’s getting smaller throughout the process. From the look of it, her fairy godmother doesn’t either, as in the end Sophie is wearing a dress identical to Sofia’s.

“Tah dah!” Sophie giggles excitedly as she looks at herself, the three year old truly feeling like a little princess as she approaches Arianna. Still, there was one part about the transformation process she didn’t enjoy quite as much: having to wear a diaper. Looking around at the other girls, she realizes that none of the other girls are wearing one.

“Diaper?” She asks, although her fairy-godmother hands her a doll of Princess Sofia before Sophie even gets a chance to blink. And then, all of her concerns melt away as she is brought over to her sister.

“I don’t like all the stuff with the glitter they do, so I asked them to do without that. How do you feel, Sophie?”

“Gweat!” She announces loudly, the girl spinning around in her dress as she giggles happily. That is, until her stomach grumbles. “I’m hungwy, Ari!”

“Are you now? Well, there’s only one place for a princess to eat at!”

“Nice and full, right Sophie!”

Sophie nods, her tummy full of yummy food as she and her sister leave Cinderella’s Royal Table. The experience to dine with several of her favorite princesses has once again been a truly delightful one, especially since Sophie can hardly remember her princess-themed meal from the previous day. The little girl follows after her sister as they make their way toward the opposite end of Fantasyland, although the more Sophie walks the harder she finds it.

“Ari, cawwy me!” Arianna rolls her eyes as she picks the girl up, Sophie no more than two years old at this point. Arianna is careful about where she walks, making sure her sister is facing a wall so that the countless people around them don’t notice her gradual decrease in age.

“Are you having fun, Sophie? Having fun being a cute little princess?”

Sophie frowns, not sure how to respond. Part of her wants to say she loves being a princess, but there’s another, smaller part that isn’t so sure.

Arianna sees the conflicted look on her sister’s face as she lets herself smile. “Wow, you really have been able to hold on for quite a bit, huh Sophie? A lot longer than mom and dad thought you’d be able to. You always were a lot brighter than Bernie though, but then again who isn’t?”

Sophie is a bit confused by her sister’s tone, the little girl knowing that Arianna is supposed to be helping her right now. But she’s not sure how. She thinks hard, before a few memories awaken.

“Da wist?”

“The lisp?” Arianna teases, the teenager chuckling as she holds Sophie in her arms. “You always loved teasing me about my little lisp, Sophie. Always loved pointing out how I couldn’t talk properly. Well, look at you now.” She says, a few alarms going off in Sophie’s head.

“I suppose you mean the list, right? A nice, easy way to get the two of you back into diapers. So very many characters for you to meet, and each one of them made you younger and younger. The funny thing is, Viola created lists that wouldn’t fully turn you two back into babies, not fully anyway.”

“But along the way, I guess you both saw so many other fun characters. You just couldn’t resist meeting with them, even if they weren’t on your lists. Such a bad idea, Sophie. Now you’re going to be a poopy little baby. That’s what you always liked to call me, right?”

“Notta baybee!” Sophie says, tearing up even as her dress gets even looser on her. She’s becoming more and more aware that Arianna has tricked her, but it’s getting harder to concentrate. Especially with the rumbling she feels, the girl’s bowels wanting very much to release.

“She says, wearing a diaper and throwing a tantrum. You know, this is all your fault, Sophie. Bernie’s too I suppose. Had you two been the hard-working successors that mom and dad wanted, then none of this would have ever happened. But in the end, you didn’t go Pre-Med at school, and Bernie ended up at some low-rate community college. Him I sort of understand, but not you: why give up the cushiest life ever?”

Sophie frowns, some of the things her sister says too hard for her to understand. Arianna seems to catch on as she smiles. “You don’t even really get it, do you? Well, that’s fine. Soon you’ll be a little baby again, and this time I’ll be the older sister. Don’t worry though, Sophie. I promise to be a good older sister, not one who constantly teases you for liking princess stuff. Not like how you were.” She says, bouncing Sophie as the girl lets out a little grunt.

Sophie isn’t able to do much more than babble as she tries to express herself, the girl trying her best to cling onto her thoughts. She’s supposed to be a big girl, not one who messes her diaper.

“Wow, you really have gotten little!” Arianna smiles as she bounces her one year old sister in her arms, the girl still seeing some resistance in Sophie’s eyes. “If Bernie is back to babyhood, that means he made a nice big mess in his diapee. How long until you join him, Sophie? After our nice yummy meal, I bet you can’t last for much longer. Soon all your big girl thoughts will go bye bye!”

Sophie catches enough of her sister’s words to realize that she’s right, but she can’t give in. She does what she can to stop herself from making a mess, does everything she can from truly losing herself.

And that’s when Arianna starts to rub her back and sing. “Let it go, let it go! Can’t hold it back anymore!”

Her sister’s nice singing voice and the lovely rubs she receives are enough to make Sophie let it go, the girl tinkling in her diaper even as she messes herself. And with that final push, the last of her memories fades away, the baby’s eyes glassing over as she giggles happily. She loves the nice feeling of her wet and squishy nappy, the girl bouncing happily as she makes an even bigger mess.

Arianna can only smile, despite how bad the smell is. “Peeyew! Mom was right, Sophie! A poopy princess, that’s what you are! Now, let’s go get you changed!”

“There, all changed.” Arianna smiles as she studies her handiwork, her cute little brown-haired sister gurgling happily as she sits on a changing table in a fresh diaper and nice purple dress featuring Sofia on it. “Such a happy little baby you are, Sophie! A cute little pampered princess! And of all the places to change you too,” she says, Arianna truly impressed by the large Tangled-themed bathrooms Disney had constructed in Fantasyland.

Sophie gurgles happily as she squeaks in delight, a smile on her face as she gazes upon her pretty older sister.

“Is that her? Oh, my precious little Sophie!” Sophie knows that the pretty lady who picks her up is her mommy, the cute girl babbling happily as she is covered with kisses. Had she retained any of her previous thoughts, she’d know at once that her mother isn’t the same age she had last been: she too seems several years younger now as well.

“Changed her just like you wanted, mom.” Arianna says, the teenager crossing her arms over her developing chest as she smiles.

“I must say, this all turned out quite well, didn’t it?” Viola smiles as she pushes Bernie’s stroller into the room, the nanny smiling at the happy little family reunion before her. Bernie snoozes, the baby boy having exhausted himself out during the day. “Naughty Sophie, thinking you could escape!” Viola pokes Sophie’s nose as the brunette baby giggles. “Especially since you had this on,” she says as she removes the girl’s Magic Band.

Mr. Arast smiles, the rejuvenated man pulling out his checkbook. Like his wife, he too now seems younger, perhaps in his late twenties or early thirties. “I can’t thank you enough, Viola. You’ve given our family a new start.”

“It’s what I do.” Viola smiles as she looks at Bernie and Sophie. “Oh, they look so much happier now than they did when I first met them! I truly hope that this time, they are able to grow up to be happier, wiser adults.”

“That’s what we want for them as well.” Mrs. Arast says, the woman setting Sophie down next to Bernard as the baby continues to coo in excitement.

“Is this alright though? I mean, your family is very well known. Won’t it be easy for-”

“Miss Viola, please. We’ll handle all of that, I can ensure you. You’ve already done your job, and splendidly at that.” Mr. Arast finishes writing a check as he hands it over to Viola. The woman can hardly believe the sum of money written on the piece of paper.

And then she realizes that something is wrong.

“Th-This is three million more than you said!”

Mr. Arast nods. “That’s because there’s one more little thing we’d like for you to do for us.” The young man smiles as both he and his wife turn to look at Arianna.

Instantly, the teenager’s eyes fill up with fear. “W-Woah, what are you saying? M-Mom? Dad!?”

“Certainly.” Viola smiles, the nanny reaching into her tote bag as she starts to fidget with something. “Arianna, you should know that while meeting with characters certainly helped the regression process, it would have happened anyway. I have the tech right here that helps control the rate of regression.” She says, even if she refuses to show what it is she’s fidgeting with.

“H-How could you!?” Arianna cries out, the girl gasping as she watches her small breasts vanish in an instant as she starts to shrink down quite a bit, tears gathering in her eyes.

“We want a nice, wholesome family, Arianna. If you stay thirteen, then you’ll be out of Sophie and Bernie’s lives by the time they’re seven. That doesn’t allow for a lot of fun interaction between you all, now does it?” Mrs. Arast smiles, watching her daughter become younger with a smile on her face.

“N-No! I don’t want to be a baby too!” Arianna squeaks, tears streaming down her face as she tries to run away. Unfortunately for her, she only succeeds in tripping over her over-sized jeans.

“You won’t be a baby, Ari. Just a better age…there, that should do it.” Mr. Arast smiles, Arianna now only six years old as the girl sniffles. Her mind seems to be catching up with her body, although it’s clear a few of her memories remain.

“I wanna be bigger!” She whines only to gasp as Viola gives her a stern look.

“You mustn’t ever say that again, young lady. After all, you don’t want to join your siblings back in diapers, do you?” All it takes is one look over to where the two babies sit in their stroller for Arianna to realize that she’s managed to avoid an even worse fate.

“Good. I see we’ve come to an understanding. Well, it seems my work here is done, so I’ll be returning home.” Viola smiles at Bernie and Sophie, the little boy having awoken as he coos curiously at the pretty woman before him. “Take care you two. It was a real treat. Have a happy, fun life, okay? Full of Pooh and princesses too!” Sophie giggles happily as she waves her hands around, a little drool leaving her lips. Viola is only too happy to wipe it up before she kisses both infants on their foreheads.

“Remember, if you ever need Parkdale’s help again, you know how to contact us.” And with that, she’s gone.

“What a fun idea that list was darling! Helping to ease them back into things!” Mrs. Arast pushes the stroller containing her infants ahead, the beauty having finished nursing them a few moments earlier.

“What can I say? I love fun little projects like that.” Her husband smiles, looking down at his three children with only warmth showing in his eyes. “This time, things will go better. I just know it.”

It isn’t long before the family boards their ride vehicle, Sophie and Bernie cooing in interest as they are placed together at the middle of the ride. And then it starts to move.

Even though the two can’t fully comprehend what’s going on around them, they are delighted by the cute little dolls that constantly come and go throughout the ride, the happy song about it being a “small world” bringing them endless delight. And their reactions only serve to make their parents happy.

Bernie and Sophie don’t remember “it’s a small world,” don’t remember the “dumb, baby ride” as they described it in the past one bit. So as they are reintroduced to it, all they can do is fall in love with it as the happy Disney magic descends upon their little minds. Arianna can only smile as well, the six year old humming the song as she looks around her.

It’s all so colorful and happy! Sophie coos contently, loving every moment of the experience. She giggles in delight, wetting and messing her second diaper as her eyes take in the lovely, happy sights around her.
