ARVInn: Residents--Harve & the Skateboard Club

Chapter Description: ARVInn's residents brought their lives with them, in large measure. For many, the things they liked before were still there. Some were limited, others almost renewed. Harve was one of the renewed. His personal interest also benefitted many others!

Tales from the ARVInn: Harve & the Skateboard Club               

Harve Chambers (11/2025) was a lifelong skateboarder, so it was no surprise that he went back to it after his ARV experience.  He had been a top semi-pro when he became infected at the age of 29, but he wasn’t allowed to compete in adult competitions at first, until the passage of the ARV Adult Act in 2062.  He managed to compete in youth divisions a number of times before that by moving around every couple of years.  Since he wasn’t married and his parents were well-off, he lived a pretty footloose life, traveling with his younger brother, who eventually was posing as his father.  They were rarely caught out and Harve had the thrill of competition and a number of trophies to show for it.

Eventually, his brother met his wife-to-be and parted company with Harve.  This meant he had to settle down, so he was forced to return to his parents’ home.  They essentially treated him as a child, which was difficult after being on his own for a dozen years.  With the passage of the ARV Act, he quickly established himself as an adult competitor once again.  His parents were not pleased with his lifestyle choice and cut him off.
