Amanda has always gotten away with how young she looks especially on Halloween. But what happens if it becomes real. Kind of a sequel to a Halloween story I did a while back called "Halloween's Past"
Chapter Description: Meet Amanda Brale and her secret.
My name is Amanda Brale. I may not look it but I am 23 years old. No I don’t look older. Worst…I look young for my age. Sometimes I am confused for someone who was maybe 15 years old. This was due to my small height and breasts. Plus I had always have a youthful face. The worst example was I was told I couldn’t see a PG-13 movie without an adult..and this was just last year. I had to show my ID to prove I was in deed the age I claimed to be. At first they thought it was a fake id but clearly it wasn’t.
Man, you look really young for your age is the question I would normally be told.
I would nicely say “Yeah I get that a lot”
But there are some advantages. Being allowed on funhouses meant for kids. Sometimes I can even get away with eating at a restaurant cheaply or even for free. But the one thing that makes my situation good is I get to continue trick or treating without getting any weird looks. My friends and family always ask me why I do it. Why do something I didn’t have to. I may still look like a child but that didn’t mean I had to do such childish things.
My response would always be “Why not”.
And I would go to a Halloween store and buy a costume. Do my size I could easily fit into a costume meant for a 10 yr old girl. Sometimes even 8 and no one would be to the wiser. I have been doing this since I was 15. Though then was more interesting as I could have easily fit into a costume for a 6 yr old. Each year I would sometimes consider testing just how small I really was. But never beyond 6. Though lately that was even a stretch.
It was really fun to continue my childhood without the pains of it. Yeah I got made fun of a lot but it was worth it. Blending in with real kids all because of how I look and dress.
This year however. I would fit into smaller costumes but not for the reason I had hoped.
Look young for your age
