Loving Care: The Stories of Lola Trechlyn

"California Pacific" follows "No Child Left Behind" and "Kids Fly Free" in the Baby ’Cotty cycle. It’s certainly the flagship of the series, weighing in at twice the word count of its immediate predecessor. There was a lot of fun to be had with Scott this time around, and I didn’t dare rush it.

In the year 2059, 26 years after his most recent plunge into infancy, Scott Danvers is near death when he’s picked up by some fishermen, and this story is the story of his rehabilitation (and subsequent regression). Four and a half months later, Scott is all but put back together when he’s offered the opportunity to end his near-death nightmares for good.

Hypnosis bordering on mind control is the main MacGuffin here. I think those are great genres of erotic literature (check out AgainstMyWill’s stories for the very best of it) and I was eager to pay tribute to one of the greats. Of course, as a Lola story, I wasn’t allowed to be quite as sadistic as Mr. Will.

The scene in Chapter 7 wherein Scott is accosted by a teenager and can only react to his embarrassment via the infantile methods with which he’s been programmed has been cited to me by many readers as one of the best written depictions of humiliation they’ve read.
