Chapter Description: Paul and his friend, Jeff, shared a lot of background and a bunch of credentials. A follow-up letter to a family vacation trip for the two AR-Adults details how it was an occasion for fun, as well as for some serious discussions.

Dear Jeff:
Thanks so much for inviting me to tag
along on your family’s trip to Aruba.
I’m glad I could swing the time off when your grandson’s buddy became
sick so suddenly. Glad to hear he’s
recovered completely and is going on their other trip. Those were the most pleasant eight days I’ve
had in a long time. Being without any
close family, I’ve never really traveled for fun, as you know. This was the most like some of our ‘original’
childhood adventures of anything I can think of.
I also appreciate the chance to talk
about some of the research I’ve worked with for the past couple of years. I know you’ve been thinking of some of the
same questions. It seems that more and
more we’re hearing questions about just how long AR-Adults are going to live,
as it seems that none of us has aged since we were infected, which is now over
50 years for some (and thirty-plus for us}.
The parallel question of the appearance of aging (or lack thereof) is
also a popular one. I was glad to have a chance to clarify some of what I’ve
been thinking about and to bounce a few ideas off you.
