Gamer's don't die, they re-spawn. More or less
Chapter Description: Gamer's don't die, they re-spawn. More or less.
Gamer’s don’t die,
They re-spawn.
More or less
His funeral was nice I suppose, if you can call a funeral for a friend nice. People crying, some bad music in the background, some hollow words from people who didn’t actually care in the first place. The usual kind of funeral.
I knew him for years ever since we were still in nappies, he never judged me for being a girl while other boys did. He was protective of me.
He did change as he entered puberty but we always remained friends even if he did become a little too much like the kind of boys he used to protect me from when we were younger.
He was into his video games a lot, I dabbled but wasn’t into them as much as he was. I preferred less fast paced games while he played a lot of shooters, everyone has their preferences. He played them often when he wasn’t working and at times I would watch him play.
While we never had a relationship in regards of love, we were good friends and I miss him already.
~~
OH YEAH! I’VE RE-SPAWNED! SUCK IT BITCHES! I AM UNSTOPPABLE!
~~
There was a saying he told me about that other gamers used, how when a gamer died they didn’t die, they re-spawned. I wonder if that’s true.
I doubt it would be the same as re-spawning in a game.
~~
Right, back to the fight. Hang on...something’s wrong. I can barely move my arms, what’s going on? And why am I wearing a nappy?
~~
It’s hard to believe that it’s been two years already since his death, I keep expecting to get a phone call from him asking if I want to hang out.
I would really like to be hanging out with him, free from that cancer that killed him.
Even going for a walk isn’t the same without him going on about some game or work.
~~
Two years and I’m regaining strength in my limbs, I’m still wearing nappies and I think I’m a girl now. I kind of like it, it feels right to me. This isn’t exactly what I expected when it came to re-spawning though.
It’s going to take me years to be as good as I used to be, if I ever do.
Oh! I can see Tammy! HEY TAMMY! I’VE RE-SPAWNED!
~~
Such a cute baby girl, she looks very happy to see me. Got to love the innocence of the very young, he was never really a fan of kids. He didn’t hate them but he didn’t really care for them much.
~~
Tammy, it’s me! Don’t you recognise me?
~~
I miss him so much.
~~
Don’t be sad, Tammy, I’m here! Look at me bouncing about in my stroller! I’ve re-spawned! Tammy? Where are you going? Tammy? TAMMY! Oooo, I need a nappy change
~~
I think I’ll visit his grave on the way home and maybe later I might try some gaming, maybe. I hope wherever he is that he’s at peace.
~~
Re-spawning’s an ass.
